Endorsements
- "Sharon is the kind of professional who draws on her own personal experiences, uses all the information available, and seeks additional input from others. She is flexible because she knows she is dealing with people who grow and change."
--School Psychologist, September 15, 2005 - "I’d like to share with you my feelings about Sharon Backues and the wonderful type of individual that she is."Sharon has a vast amount of expertise in the field of Asperger’s, Autism and other disabilities. She has helped me and my family to understand what we are going through and how to deal with it. She not only takes the time to educate everyone involved but continually gives the entire family the support and resources available to ensure success. Sharon is a strong advocate for the disabled and their families and I would highly recommend her both professionally and personally."I am so happy that she’s continuing to work with people that have the condition of ASD. (Our loss in Coos County will certainly be your gain.) It’s been a privilege to work with her and we wish her the very best. You will not be let down from your experience with Sharon."

"You have no earthly idea the difference in our household in the mornings. Sharon has Jonathon working on his own in the mornings, up to a certain point until he is able to communicate. He has not been late for school since she has worked with him and we have implemented her plan. It takes so little when you know how! Before this our house was a war zone in the mornings and it was not fair to Jonathon's siblings."I say, 'we have implemented her plan' when in fact Jonathon makes his own decisions about the time to get up, sets his own alarms and our job is to stay out of his hair. I never could have believed this was possible."
--Mother of Jonathon, a 7th grade student
