About Coaching: What is a Coaching Session Like?

Coaching is like having someone else on your side, making sure that you are focused on what's most important in your life.

Kristina will ask you questions that prompt you to consider alternatives you haven't considered, and encourage you to take new perspectives. You come to new clarity about your life and purpose.

Then you get down to business and design what to do next. Maybe you want to schedule time to pursue a new idea and cut some less important items out of your schedule. Or maybe you want to try a new tactic with a friend or colleague. Whatever it is, together you will make sure you have all the structures in place so that what is most important in your life gets done each week. Coaching is pragmatic and practical.

Coaching is Done Over the Phone

Coaching is done exclusively over the phone. This is not only more convenient for you, but actually can be more effective than working in-person.

Life coaches generally offer their services over the phone because of the unique nature of what coaches have to offer. Coaching works better over the phone because it actually enhances your level of focus.

The distance between you and your coach also helps you open up and feel comfortable taking an honest look at yourself and what skills you will need to develop in order to achieve your goals.

Working over the phone can be especially useful for those with Asperger. You will enjoy the ability to connect and communicate without feeling pressure to make eye contact or communicate non-verbally. It enables you to not have to worry about the visual impression you are making while working with Kristina.

Working over the phone also enables Kristina to work with clients who would not otherwise be able to benefit from such specialized coaching services. Kristina can work with you no matter where you are. She has had clients across the US as well as Canada and the UK.

If long distance phone costs are an issue, please let Kristina know and she can call you. If you are unsure about whether working over the phone will work for you, go ahead and give it a try.

Common Question: Can You Recommend a Professional in My Area?

Because Kristina’s services are not limited to a geographical area, she is not familiar enough with your region to recommend other Asperger professionals in your particular location.

What is the Difference Between Coaching and Therapy?

Coaching is not therapy. Coaching works best with high-achieving individuals. Coaching and therapy are both potentially powerful methods that are used for different purposes with different individuals.

Some of Kristina's clients are also in therapy. They do not find the two methods to be redundant, in fact, they get different benefits from the two methods. If you are suffering from depression, Kristina suggests you consult with a therapist.

Can Coaching Cure Asperger?

Asperger Syndrome is not a mental illness and coaching is not therapy. Kristina does not address clinical depression or other medical illnesses. Asperger Syndrome is simply a difference in the way your brain is hard-wired which gives you a distinct set of advantages and challenges that can be utilized just like any other physical trait.

Coaching does not cure Asperger Syndrome. Asperger is a potential gift that does not need to be cured. We work together to create the life you want by utilizing your unique abilities. View more detail about these Asperger traits.

Medical Questions and Diagnosis

Coaching and consulting are not medical services. Kristina does not offer diagnosis, cannot answer questions about heredity, and does not give advice regarding medication or other medical procedures.
